Salary committees stopped over mismanagement

The Crisis Management Committee says the work of some of the subcommittee paying salaries of civil servants in the states has been stopped.

The CMC is investigating reports of mismanagement of funds by some of the salary committee members.

The Deputy Chairman of the Crisis Management Committee, Daniel Awet Akot told Eye Radio that some of the officials have been suspended for misconduct.

“They were using their own pay sheet and this could not indicate who was present in that place or not,” said Mr Akot.

Honorable Awet also said lack of enough funds from the government has slowed down the payment of salary for some civil servants.
