The SPLA says the Sudanese army bombed their position in an air raid in Renk county of Eastern Nile state on Thursday.
The SPLA spokesperson, Brig-Gen Lul Ruai said the bombardment destroyed ammunitions belonging to the SPLA at the border area.
Brig-Gen Lul told Eye Radio that the Sudanese army was unprovoked before they carried out the air raid.
“Our forces did nothing to warrant those aerial bombardments,” he said.
No casualties have been reported.
Early this year, Sudan Air force also bombed areas around Maban County in the same state, saying Sudanese rebel forces were hosted in the area by South Sudanese government.
