The Red Cross says it is still mobilizing its volunteers to collect dead bodies in the residential areas in Juba.

Several civilians were killed in crossfire during the four-day fighting.

The Communication and Resource Mobilization Manager of the Red Cross, South Sudan says discussions are currently being done with authorities on where to bury the dead bodies.

“At the moment we are still in a meeting discussing how to collect the dead bodies in residential areas,”Marial Mayom Riak told Eye Radio. “We will be moving in pickups.”

The said volunteers will be moving from area to area. He urges the residents to inform the Red Cross of where a dead body lies.

Marial says, in case of an injured person who needs transport to the hospital, the residents can reach the Red Cross via 0921 115 955.
