The South Sudan Red Cross Society says it has set up medical and hygiene teams to assist vulnerable people during the rainy season.
It says the teams are based in Lologo in Juba, and Torit.
“There is a Cholera preparedness team which is already set up and as we talk now we are at the preposition [stage], with equipment and materials in Torit,” said Majo Hillary, Red Cross communication coordinator.
He added that they are planning to establish other teams in Yei and Kajo-keji.
However, they have not received any suspected case of waterborne diseases yet.
