The acting director of Central Equatoria State Traffic Police says his department has opened a driving school to help reduce traffic accidents in Juba town.

Col Lual Lual Wol told Eye Radio’s Dawn Program this morning that most of the traffic accidents are caused by motorcycle riders.

“We have opened a driving school and if you have spent three months, we will give you a certificate and private driving license,” Col Lual told Eye Radio.

“After you spent four years in driving, we will give you also a general driving license after a legal process and this can reduce the traffic accidents in the town,” he said.

He said “most of these accidents happen because motorcycles riders are reckless.”

Last month Juba town witnessed big numbers of road accidents.
