The Central Equatoria state Land commission says there are plans to demolish structures raised illegally in Cemeteries and public places.

The state Land Commissioner warns that those who have constructed homes and other buildings in graveyards in Juba will be evicted.

Ajonye Perpetua told the Dawn Program that investors should not buy or lease land at the cemeteries.

“Anybody who attempts, whether business investor wants to invest in grave yards, we have seen building which came in graves and so on. As I told you I think the time we agreed with the date will come and people have to leave. That’s why we are educating the people; the citizens have to know their rights including the people who are violating the rights of general public.” She said.

Madam Perpetua did not elaborate on when the demolition will take place.
