The Ministry of Health is distributing medicines to parts of the country which are difficult to access during the wet season, before the rains make the roads impassable.
Dr. Moses Tiel, Executive Director of Central Medical Store, the medical storage department under the ministry, handling the distribution process, told Eye Radio that the process started last week.
“We’ve already sent drugs to lakes state because we have considered it as a state which is hard to reach during rainy season,” said Dr Tiel.
Some drugs will be air lifted by WFP planes to greater Upper Nile region.
Mr. Tiel added that they proper storage facilities of the medicines.
