Ministry of Defense to form a General Court Martial

The Minister of Defense has announced he wants to form a General Court martial to try soldiers arrested for shooting randomly in Juba.

General Kuol Manyang Juk said that the soldiers who are wandering randomly in Juba, are the undisciplined ones, whom he says, the government will deal with.

General Kuol Manyang said measures are already being put in place to bring undisciplined soldiers to justice. “There are number of them who have been apprehended and they are now in the detention Centers, pending trials. We are asking now the office of the Commander-in Chief, to approve the formation of the General Court Martial for the trial of these soldiers whom have been arrested.”

The Defense Minister is also advising the public to be aware of people wearing police uniforms and posing as police officers.

He also warned against civilian members of the public wearing military or police uniforms.
