The Governor of Eastern Equatoria described the rumors as claims that elements of the SPLA in Opposition forces have entered his state.
Louis Lobong Lojore said the people who burned a vehicle along the Juba-Nimule road this week were robbers.
Lobong says his state government will work together with youth to main security during the Christmas.
“I want to tell the people that they should celebrate the charismas and the New Year with peace.” The Governor assured of safety during forthcoming festivities.
Lobong says no more incidents of killing have been reported in the state over the past few days.
