The Ministry of Labor has launched a website for the public to have access to information about the activities and services of the ministry.

James Hoth Mai, the Minister of Labor said the website dubbed “mol.gov.ss” will help the public to access documents, reports, and advertisements.

He says the website will also assist the public access work permit application forms, information about vocational training and employment opportunities as well as consultancy services by the ministry and employment agencies.

“This website is very important for us and the public. On the website, you will be able to access work permits if you want information and if you need to know anything about work permits,” said Hoth.

“It will also help these employment agencies because they will be able to know all the vacancies that have been advertised and the job seekers will be able to know all the advertised jobs with the conditions and all the requirements,

“They will be able to know and also on the website our public will be able to know what we are doing in our vocational training centers.”

The Ministry of Labor was established in October 2005 following the signing of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement, and in accordance with the Southern Sudan Interim Constitution, 2005.

The Ministry is responsible for the formulation of labor policies and legislative framework to regulate the private sector labor market, development, management, and administration of human resource policies.
