Jonglei State Governor says communities need to change their attitudes to the dowry system. The State Governor Kuol Manyang said that cutting the price of bride dowries will lead to fewer cases of cattle raiding and theft. South Sudan still has a strong dowry tradition despites calls to reduce the prices. It is seen as fuelling cattle rustling amongst the youth.
