Greater Bahr el Ghazal NUF graduated in Wau

The government on Friday passed out 13,628 necessary unified peace forces from three different training centers in Greater Bahr el Ghazal region.

Addressing the forces on Friday, South Sudan Chief of Defense Forces, Gen Santino Deng Wol said the new graduated forces will now improve uncontained security situation in the Country.

“We need the security of South Sudan to be stable so that the citizens of South Sudan in greater Bahr el Ghazal states, Greater Equtoria and Greater Upper Nile are still at protection camps, we need them to return to their respective homes in peace,” General Wol told the peace soldiers in Wau.

“The work of a soldiers is to provide peace and protection to the nation, you should not only be a soldier of Bahr el Ghazal, and you should not be a soldier of Nuer, Dinka, Azande, Bari or Muru, you are a soldier of South Sudan that protect the citizen and the constitution of South Sudan,” said General.

The chief of Defense Forces also urged the graduated soldiers to distance themselves from politic.

“You have to be out from politic, there is a different between soldier and politician, you cannot serve too masters ago,” he said.

Santino Deng Wol warned the soldiers not to apply Tribalism on their duties.

“You should not be a tribal force, tribal soldier was what brought the problem in South Sudan, from today onward, if you are soldier for South Sudan, please take away in your mine the concept of tribe where you come from,” he said.

For her part, the National Minister for Defense and Veteran Affairs, Angelina Teny said the graduation of the necessary unified forces mark a step to democratic roadmap ahead 2024 general elections.

“You know that we have made a roadmap because based on the agreement, it drive us to democracy and you have a great duty to play, you will create a conducive environment so that we go for a free and fear elections,” said Teny.

Meanwhile the presidential advisor on security affairs, Tut Gatluak congratulated for the forces for their successful training.

“We want soldiers like this, well trained with disciples and highly respect, the soldiers that defense South Sudan, police that maintain South Sudan, prison service men that protect the inmates in South Sudan and Wildlife that protect the national parks in South Sudan,” Tut told the soldiers,”Said Tut.

“You are going to defense the constitution and the citizens of South Sudan, we are together with you in any location that you will be deploy,” he said.
