The Governor of Western Equatoria State, Daniel Badagbu Rimbasa, has warned criminals and those involved in violence to stop their activities and support efforts to maintain peace and stability across the state.
Speaking during celebrations marking the 15th Independence Anniversary in Yambio, Governor Badagbu urged those engaged in criminal acts to choose peace and contribute to the state’s security and development.
The governor also directed the Division Commander to mobilize and identify eligible forces for integration into the organized forces as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen security and stability in Western Equatoria State.
According to Governor Badagbu, the integration process will give former combatants an opportunity to receive proper military ranks and official recognition while enabling them to contribute to improved security and development in their communities.
He said the initiative is aimed at strengthening the organized forces, creating opportunities for former fighters, and fostering a safer environment for the people of Western Equatoria State.
Governor Badagbu said his administration is committed to restoring lasting peace and security across the state, adding that stability remains essential for development and the well-being of residents.
