A mourner at the funeral of late James Eliaba Surur has urged the government to repair the Juba-Yei road and name it after the late politician.

A member of the Council of States, Angelo Beda, says the poor status of the road makes it difficult even to move from Mukaya payam, the home village of late Eliaba, to Lainya.

Hon. Angelo, who was a friend to the deceased, says the road should be repaired to serve as a memory of the late veteran politician.

“We need, in the name of Eliaba, that the road from Juba to Yei should be reconstructed so that it becomes a remembrance for this great man.” Said Hon Angelo. “So that all of us can remember him when we travel on that way.”
