Goc won’t step down

Chabur Goc says he won’t step down as the President of South Sudan Football Association despite being accused of misappropriating funds.

Mr Goc was suspended in absentia 2 weeks ago by the Board of Directors of the National Football Association.

The board members accused him of transferring about $400,000 into his private account, a charge he denies.

The board had also given him 6 days to return to Juba and hand over his responsibilities.

However, speaking to the press upon arrival at the Juba International Airport, Mr Goc said he would not be stepping down.

“There’ no any handover of anything; I’m till now the president of the federation,” he stated.
