A woman was killed and her husband wounded when thieves broken into their home in Gogrial East County of Warrap State on Wednesday.

“It was criminals who came at night and tried to open a hut for goats,” Warrap State Minister of Local Government and Law Enforcement Agency Atem Atem describes the incident to Eye Radio.

“Then the man heard. He shouted and asked who they were.

“They immediately shot him in the thigh, breaking it.

“And when the wife got out, she was shot. She died on spot.”

Mr. Atem says the thieves stole a large number of goats after killing the lady.

He added that the security situation is now under control as night patrols have been deployed in the area.
