The Ministry of General Education says they have launched the South Sudan Secondary Examination certificate.

Undersecretary in the ministry Michael Lopuke, says over 4000 students have registered, among them, 2,957 are male and 1,180 are female.

Lopuke told Eye radio Sundown Show that many states have registered their students except Warrap, Unity, and Upper Nile states.

He says this is because they started the South Sudan curriculum very late.

He said those states are expected to present their candidates in the next South Sudan Examination.

Of course it’s also important to know that most states have just presented their candidatures for the first time, but others that had been doing so are counting their fourth year of going through similar exams. It’s important to make it clear that this examinations is based in the national curriculum of the republic unlike the previous which was conducted between June and July last year which was based on the old Sudan curriculum.” He said.

Lopuke says this is the first time that most of the states have registered their students for the South Sudan Curriculum Exams.
