The leader of minority in the Parliament has seconded the president’s decision to discuss with theinternational partners how the deployment of the foreign protection force in Juba can be implemented.

On Monday, President Salva Kiir told parliamentarians that the government was not against the deployment of the protection force, but the process had to be done in the interest of the both sides.

President Salva Kiir said the government would hold further discussions on the matter with the international community.

“Some people are saying, when these people come, they are coming to take over….they are dreaming because of their own interests. They want to remain in power.

The UN Security Council adopted the resolution to deploy 4000 troops from the region in Juba last week.

The force will be charged with protecting civilians, key public installations, the airport and UN installations.
