Authorities in Yei County, Central Equatoria State have announced that DNA identification results for 10 of the 14 victims who died in the Luri plane crash have been released.

On April 27, 2026, a plane operated by City Link crashed in Luri area of Juba County shortly after taking off from Yei River County.

All 13 passengers and the pilot on board lost their lives in the accident. In the aftermath, authorities in Yei River County established a committee to oversee arrangements for the burial of the deceased.

According to a post shared on the official facebook page of the office of Yei County commissioner, the DNA results have identified ten of the victims of the Luri plane crash.

On 29^th April 2026, National Ministry of Transport suspended the operations of CityLink Aviation following the deadly plane crash near Luri, southwest of Juba, which killed all 14 people on board.

The order stated that the airline would remain grounded until a full investigation is conducted by relevant government institutions.
