Investigations are underway on an attack in which one person was killed and another wounded in Hiyala Payam, Torit County, in Imatong over the weekend, according to state authorities.

The County Commissioner, Vigilio Bernard, says a group of suspected cattle raiders exchanged fire with a vigilante group in the area.
One of the raiders was killed in the incident.
Mr. Bernard told Eye Radio that the wounded is receiving treatment at the state hospital.
“We have some cattle raiders who came and take on they enter the patrol team from monyomoji of logurun so they fought and unfortunately one from the cattle raider were killed and one young men was wounded from logurun…. so one wounded and one kill,” he said, adding that the deceased could not be identified immediately.
Mr. Bernard said security forces have launched a search for the attackers.
