The newly appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ramadan Goc was on Monday sworn into office, the Presidential Press Unit reported.
The oath was administered by the Deputy Chief Justice Dr. John Gatwech Lul.
Deputy Minister Ramadan Goc said they will work in tandem to build strong relations between South Sudan and other countries.
Speaking while presiding over swearing in the swearing ceremony, “President Kiir pledged to reshape the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in a bid to fulfill its mandate.”
On his part, Foreign Minister Dr. James Pitia Morgan assured the President of their readiness to effect reforms in the Ministry so as to clean the country’s image both within and outside.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is responsible for the implementation and management of South Sudan’s foreign policy and works for a secure and fair world.
