The rate of class attendance for both primary and secondary schools has doubled this year compared to last year, a survey by the Ministry of Education has found.

The improvement has been cited for both male and female students across the country.

The findings are shown on the ‘Ana Fii Inni’ website, the South Sudan Schools’ Attendance Monitoring System.

The report puts the highest number of attendance for both male and female students at slightly more than 600,000 last year.

But this year’s attendance sums up to 1,200, 000, most of whom are male students.

The report also indicates an improvement in the number girl child enrollment.

However, it says the report notes that education has been disrupted by insecurity and violence in some parts of the country.

‘Ana Fii Inn’, is the name given to the South Sudan Schools’ Attendance Monitoring System.

The website is a project of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, funded by UK Aid and the Girls Education South Sudan organization.
