Civil servants under the national government are getting their February salaries starting from today, an official has said.

The payments have been delayed by two months because of the crisis.

The chairman of national salary committee, Jacinto Lee Vicky, said they will move on to pay March salaries once they have completed the February payment.

“As of today, we have started payment of February salaries and hopefully when we finish, we will go on to March’s,” said Mr Lee.

Mister Lee said those who have been absent from work without permission will not get paid.
