Calm returns to Kajo-Keji

Author : | Published: Tuesday, May 17, 2016

Kajo-Keji is relatively calm after unknown gunmen carried out deadly attacks in the county recently.

Officials say armed men attacked villages in Nyepo Payam, killing a civilian and displacing hundreds of families in the attacks which started on Wednesday.

“This made the citizens to panic and run away from their houses because these people are coming to loot properties, get money and torture people,” said Stephen Ladu, Yei River State Information Minister.
“And the people of Kajo-Keji County are now calm.”

He added that the displaced are now trickling back from the bushes.
