The Minister of Foreign Affairs James Pitia Morgan has said Africa is playing an increasingly important role in shaping global partnerships and advancing sustainable development across the continent.

Dr. Pitia made the remarks while representing President Salva Kiir at the Africa Forward Summit held in Nairobi, Kenya.

The summit, hosted at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre, brought together African Heads of State and Government, global investors, CEOs, international financial institutions, innovators, and development partners under the theme “Innovation and Growth.”

The event was co-hosted by Kenyan President William Samoei Ruto and French President Emmanuel Macron and focused on strengthening Africa–France partnerships in areas including innovation, investment, technology, job creation, and sustainable economic growth.

According to Dr. Pitia, the summit reflects growing international recognition of Africa’s potential and the importance of stronger cooperation for shared prosperity and long-term development.

The South Sudan delegation participated in discussions on regional cooperation, investment opportunities, and strategies to support economic transformation across Africa.
