Sudan has rejected a program for the demarcation of the disputed border between Sudan and South Sudan during a confidence-building workshop.

Head of the Sudan delegation; Al-Rashid Haroun revealed the rejection of the proposal of reaching recommendations for border demarcation, but approved the preparation of a special report at the end of the workshop, Sudan Vision reported.

South Sudan is reactive on border demarcation even for populations living in stability, Mr Haroun said.

He indicated that they were willing to cooperate and meet Juba government anywhere on the border demarcation issue.

The African Union border program and High Implementation Panel headed by Thabo Mbeki organised the confidence-building workshop in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
