12 people killed in SPLA-SPLMA-IO clashes in Duk

12 civilians have been killed in clashes between government forces and forces of the SPLA-in opposition in Duk County, Jonglei State.

Yesterday, the SPLA spokesperson, Colonel Philip Aguer told Eye Radio that the forces of the SPLA-in Opposition took control of Duk Padiet center.

Duk County Commissioner Elijah Monynhom also told Eye Radio the wounded have been” taken to Juba hospital”.

Commissioner Monynhom appeals to the government and Non-governmental organizations to assist civilians who have escaped to the neighboring counties.

“There are people who are now on the way coming because they are suffering; there is no food, there is no water in general. Those who are still in hiding in the area are suffering.”

Commissioner Elijah Monynhom also said Duk Padiet County headquarters has been deserted by the population.
