The Ministry of Education says it has requested each of the ten states to send 100 students for teachers training in Juba.

Speaking to the media, the Minister of Education, Science and Technology, John Gai Yoh says the students will be included in this year’s financial budget.

“One thousand students will enroll this year .It is our hope that next year we will enroll two thousand, and this is the way we can start. We have to start somewhere and I think this is very critical. Secondly we cannot do this if we don’t motivate those students.” He said.

Gai says they are also working to unify the education curriculum in South Sudan.
