Author : | Published: Monday, October 3, 2016

Two people died when a strong wind blew off the roofs of shelters of IDPs at the UN camp in Wau on Sunday.

Ten others sustained injuries.

Other facilities that were destroyed in this incident last evening include a health center operated by the medical charity, MSF.

“Two [victims] are at the movement in critical condition,” said Abiel Peter Wawure, health worker with the MSF.

Our reporter in Wau, who visited the camps, says most of those injured sustained cuts from pieces of iron sheets.

“A strong heavy wind uprooted and blew away the Rubhall to a distance of 5 minutes away from its location where its crashed four people who were walking on the road near the main POCs in Wau,” said an eyewitness.
