Wau Teaching Hospital has been closed down after civilian populations deserted the town following a fighting recently, an official has said.
According to the UN, a fighting between the army and an armed group displaced about 120,000 residents into UNMISS base early this month.
“There is nobody reporting to the hospital sick, but the nurses and doctors are available,” Awadhia Yakub, acting state minister of Health, told Eye Radio.
Majority of the displaced are women and children.
