SPLA admits take over of Boma Payam

The SPLA has admitted that it lost its base to forces loyal to David Yau Yau in Boma area of Pibor County, Jonglei state.

On Monday, the forces who call themselves South Sudan Defense Alliance (SSDA) announced that they are in control of the area following an offensive on an SPLA garrison.

On a separate development, Colonel Aguer said more than 80 SPLA soldiers who deserted the army in Jonglei state have been arrested in Kapoeta Town, Eastern Equatoria State.

Colonel Aguer dismissed rumors that David Yau Yau has a militia base in Eastern Equatoria state.
