South Sudanese students studying at Cairo University are said to be living in fear after clashing with Egyptian students on Tuesday.

South Sudanese female students were involved in a fight with Egyptian female students after the Egyptian girls reportedly harassed a Malian student who was suffering from epilepsy.

The fight prompted the university administration to dismiss all South Sudanese female students from the university premises.

South Sudan’s Ambassador to Egypt, Anthony Kon told Eye Radio that the students are concerned for their safety.

Several South Sudanese students are still receiving treatment following a fight involving Egyptian students in Cairo.
