South Sudan football coach unveils AFCON qualifiers squad

Bright Stars head Coach Stefano Cusin has unveiled a 34-man squad for the AFCON qualifiers group stage match against Mali to be played in Bamako next month.

The selection includes 9 players from South Sudan local leagues, 9 recalled from Uganda, 3 from Kenya and Australia, and others from different countries including Itali, Canada, the USA, Serbia, and Malta.

Mali, who sit top of the Group G, will host South Sudan on 26th March Stadium in Bamako on September 8.

The Bright Stars will also have a friendly match with Kenya on September 12, 2023, in Nairobi.

South Sudan has already vowed out of the continental tournament and sits at bottom group G with only three points from their last five games.
