The United Nations Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon ,is expected to come to South Sudan on Tuesday.

The US Secretary of State, John Kerry speaking from the Angolan capital, Luanda said the UN Secretary General will visit tomorrow.

Ban Ki-moon’s visit comes a few days after the visit of the UN Human Rights Chief, Navi Pillay and the Special Advisor on Prevention of Genocide, Adama  Dieng.

While in South Sudan, Ban Ki-moon is expected to discuss ways of finding possible lasting solutions to the continued killings of civilians in South Sudan since the mid-December last year.

Discussions will also focus on relations between the government, and the United Nations Mission in South Sudan.

Last week on, on a phone conversation, U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon urged South Sudan President Salva Kiir to publicly call for an end to a “negative campaign” against U.N. peacekeepers.

The Secretary General also asked President Kiir to bring to justice those responsible for attacks on civilians and the United Nations.
