The Office of the President says Sudanese war planes bombed Raja County in Western Bahr el- Ghazal and Aweil West in Northern Bahr al Ghazal State this afternoon.

Presidential press secretary, Ateny Wek Ateny condemned the bombing, which he says was not provoked. No casualties have been reported in today’s attack. In Wednesday attack, four people were killed and 9 others, in Aweil, Northern Bahr el Ghazal State.

Mr Ateny told a news conference that the Sudanese planes started the bombing three days ago.

“The attack is presumed to be coming from neighboring Sudan, since no any other country that borders South Sudan have the history of this type of unprovoked attack,” Mr Ateny said.

The Sudanese government has not commented. But the spokesman of the Sudanese army use to deny such attacks.

The bombing comes after Sudan closed its borders with South Sudan last week.
