A Catholic priest was killed when he was knocked down by a hit-and-run driver front of St Joseph’s Parish in Juba yesterday.

Father Thomas Ladu Angelo was crossing the road alongside the Juba Teaching Hospital when he was hit by a car.

The Auxiliary Bishop of the Catholic archdioceses of Juba, Santo Lako Bio spoke to Eye Radio about the accident.

“The person who knocked him just ran away. We cannot blame him; he is innocent.

“He doesn’t have a human feeling to see that he has done something to somebody; that is a person that needs to be educated. He is traumatized and needs to be uplifted.”

The funeral for Father Thomas Lado Angelo will be on Wednesday at 10am and he will be buried in Rajaf.
