Pound strengthens against dollar

The value of the South Sudanese Pound is strengthening against the US dollar.

The foreign currency is now selling at 30 pounds in commercial banks.

Meanwhile, in the parallel market, the pound has dropped from 42 to27 per dollar in just less than two weeks.

This shows over 40% drop in the black market since the beginning of this month.

The reason behind the fall in the exchange rate is unclear.
