Three primary schools have been closed in Lobonok County of Jubek State over the creation of more states.

Officials say most of the teachers in these schools in Gangi village were from Yei and decided to go to their new state at the end of last year.

This has affected learning for more than 400 pupils in Kulipapa, Gangi and Kagwada primary schools.

“I’m requesting the Ministry of Education to take this seriously so that they send teachers to Gangi Payam,” said Festo Michael, acting Director for Education in Gangi Payam.

Mr Festo said he sent the report about the situation to the former Director of Juba County.

Officials at the state ministry of education in Juba are yet to comment.
