The Commissioner of Terekeka County says several suspects have been arrested for the killing of four people in Northern Bari Payam last week.

They people were killed in fighting between cattle keepers and farmers in the area.

Jacob Gore says a committee has been set to investigate the cause of the incident.

Mr Gore says the committee is in consultations with elders from the two communities and will later hold a peace conference in the area.

“…they are well known, especially the people who went to revenge. They are now under the custody of those lawyers because they are many and they are the one to go to the prisons (When proven guilty). And the other who will be found without any guilt will be released.” Mr Gore said.

“And then also in that side of Bari, the commissioner of Juba County is also trying to find out the young man who began to shot the cows and wounded one person. But concerning the issue of people who are going to prison, there is a committee that is dealing with that issue,” he added.

Gore apologized last week on behalf of his community for the killings.
