Mvolo County Commissioner in Western Equatoria State has dismissed what he calls rumors circulating in Maridi that some youth from his county have ‘rebelled against the government’.

Abdallah James Arona, told Eye Radio’s Dawn program this morning that what has been said about youth from Mvolo rebelling against the government is ‘false’.

Rumors have been going on in the neighboring Maridi that someone is mobilizing young people from Mvolo County for an unknown training in Mboroko area towards the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Commissioner Arona said the situation in his county is calm, and there are no people who have the intention to rebel against the government.
