Teachers at Maridi Girls Boarding Secondary School for Science have received incentive funds from Senior Presidential Envoy on Special Programs Hon. Adut Salva Kiir Mayardit to support educators and improve learning outcomes at the school.

A delegation from the Office of the Senior Presidential Envoy delivered the funds during a visit to Maridi County in Western Equatoria State over the weekend, according to a post on the official Facebook page.

The delegation said the incentives will support the school’s teaching staff over the next four years as part of efforts to strengthen the education sector.

During the visit, the team also assessed sites for education infrastructure projects that Hon. Adut Salva pledged during her visit to Maridi in May this year.

At Don Bosco Secondary School, the delegation inspected locations designated for the construction of four science and technology laboratories, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Computer laboratories.

The team also reviewed plans to expand the administration block and construct four additional laboratories at Maridi Girls Boarding Secondary School for Science.

Officials said the assessments will help prepare for the implementation of the projects once authorities complete the required technical and administrative procedures.

The delegation reaffirmed its commitment to return to Maridi and oversee the start of the projects aimed at improving access to quality science and technology education.
