Man ‘murdered’, body dumped in Yambio suburb – police

A 26-year-old man was found dead on Tuesday morning in Yambio of Western Equatoria State, as police investigate a likely murder.

Citing a postmortem report, the state Police Commissioner, Major General Albino Otto said the deceased whom he named as Galdino Angelo was beaten and had his neck broken.

The victim’s body was found dead in a bushy area at Asanza suburb south-east of Yambio town.

“A person was found dead in a bushy place, and that person was killed somewhere, then brought to that place. His name is Galdino Angelo, and he was killed on 23rd October in an area called Asanza North Yambio,” the police official narrated the incident to Eye Radio.

The motive behind his killing is unclear.

However, Albino said the police in the area are investigating the incident.

“According to the doctor reports the deceased was beaten and his neck was broken, since yesterday the CID are investigating the case, so the investigation process is still on going.”
