Nicolas DUPUIS, the favorite candidate to be appointed as Head Coach for the South Sudan men’s football team arrived in Juba on Tuesday as he is expected to sign contract with national football governing body – SSFA.

The French national, who previously coached the Madagascar National Team, will assume his duty as the new manager of the Bright Stars this week.

He replaces Stefano Cusin, an Italian who left the country last month after his tenure passed out.

SSFA said the decision not to renew the contract was reached mutually by the parties after Cusin’s contract ended earlier in September.

“We take this opportunity to express our gratitude to Stefano Cusin for his time and dedication to the team in these two years. His contributions and efforts have been appreciated, and we wish him the best in his future endeavors,” the body announced.

The football body advertised the position and encouraged national coaches to give it a shoot.
