The Minister of Information in Lakes State is calling upon communities in his state to work together in order to restore peace and end the rampant killings.

Over the last few weeks, Lakes state has faced insecurity due to revenge attacks between the communities. About 600 people have died in the area.

Mr. Dhieu Wol says individuals in his state need to focus on the peace building.

“We need everybody to come and participate; we need your voice to help us in resolving the crisis here, because I believe that everybody have an impact on a community he comes from,” said Mr Wol.

Mr. Wol says a proposed disarmament process has not yet started in the state.

He says it will begin if people who have fled go back to their homes.
