Popular singer Lady Kola revealed her decision to become the second wife of her boyfriend Cherry Long – their wedding slated for June, setting the stage for a charming polygamous matrimony not unusual in the South Sudanese society.

In a candid interview with Eye Radio’s Soundtrack Entertainment Show, Kola expressed deep adoration for boyfriend and fellow singer Long whom she has been dating for a while.

Kola emphasized her lover’s unwavering support for her music career as one of the reasons for accepting him.

She said Long understands her better, respects her work, and gives her the time and even accompanies her to the studio up to late hours of the night.

Acknowledging the unconventional nature of their union, Lady Kola shared that Cherry Long’s first wife graciously accepted her as a co-wife, paving the way for harmony within their blended family.

“Mr. Right is fine (Cherry Long), the official marriage is in June, and you know our culture allows men to marry to 6, 7 and 10 wives, and I accepted to be a second wife. She (Long’s first wife) is also okay with me being her co-wife.”

“He (Long) understands me better, respect my work and gives me the time and even sometimes we go to the studio together and we stay up until 2 to 3am. He is okay with that, but the most important thing is when some values and respects what you do.”

The couple disclosed that they were dating in January 2024, and continued to appear together in public – captivating fans with their undeniable chemistry.
