President Salva Kiir is traveling to Addis Ababa this morning for an extra-ordinary summit of the IGAD heads of State.
The Press Secretary in the Office of the President, Ateny Wek Ateny, told Eye Radio that President Kiir and other heads of IGAD states will discuss solution to the conflict in South Sudan.
The President will leave this morning.
“President Kiir will attend the summit and his presentation will be on strengthening the position of the negotiations in Addis Ababa,” Mr Ateny said.
IGAD Mediators for the South Sudan peace process have been organizing consultation meetings with the leaders of the different delegations to the multi-stakeholders negotiations in Addis Ababa.
