A political analyst says President Salva Kiir should assure the public that peace has come.

The statement comes a day after the Office of the President announced that Mr Kiir would address the nation on Thursday morning.

However, it could not disclose the agenda of the state of nation address.

James Okuk, official at the ministry of foreign affairs and international cooperation, told Eye Radio that the President’s speech should ensure that there is no sad mood anymore.

“We expect that the President comes and assure South Sudanese in a more determined manner….that peace has come back and there is no time to live in a sad mood anymore,” Mr Okuk said.

However, there has been public outcry over the current fuel crisis and the shortage of the US dollars.
