‘Guards’ break into Jubek secretariat

Author : | Published: March 4, 2016

More than 400,000 pounds has been stolen in the Jubek state secretariat office in Juba, an official has said.

The State Secretary-General, Paulino Beda Lodu says the money was meant to pay salaries for the constitutional post holders and the employees for the former Central Equatoria state.

He says the incident is being investigated by concerned authorities.

“We suspect those police who were on guard last night,” Mr Beda claimed.

He said the state government will find an alternative to pay its employees.
