There is no budget to repair roads linking Jonglei counties during the dry season, authorities have said.
The state is interconnected with dirt roads. They become impassable during the rainy season due to floods.
The State Minister of Information, Jodi Jonglei, said there is a plan to grade the roads but there is no budget.
“It is a big challenge to the governments and the government of South Sudan,” Mr Jonglei told Eye Radio.
Mr. Jodi said 52 kilometers of the road between Bor and Juba have been upgraded since September this year.
