Drunk man who killed his wife arrested in Yambio

Police in Western Equatoria State have arrested a 40-year-old man who allegedly killed his wife in Yambio, while in an inebriated state.

The state police commissioner told Eye Radio that the suspect hit the mother of four children on Monday, January 23, 2023.

Major General Isaac Aboud William said this followed a misunderstanding between the couples.

They were reportedly intoxicated.

He identified the suspect as James Enock and his deceased wife as Vicky Samuel.

“A man named James Enock 46 years old killed his wife. It happened yesterday [January 23, 2023] at Yambio Payam,” Gen. Isaac said.

“They quarreled after taking alcohol and then he hit her on the head and the back. And that led to her death,

“He is in police custody now for further investigation. The body of the deceased was taken by the family to be buried.”

General Isaac said the suspect is under investigation.
